Configure alerts thresholds

Hi gurus:
I'm new in EM12c (12.1.0.1.0) I want to configure a several alerts but when I modify the alerts thresholds nothing happens, and I want to add and modify  more alerts, what is the way to add or modify the alerts in EM12c
