Implications of using the seeded BG "Setup Business Group"

 Hello,
We are exploring the possibility of using the seeded BG "Setup Business Group" and wondering the possible/future impacts/effects if we pursue with this (instead of creating a new BG). 

We understand thru research that it is highly recommended to create a new BG, however we'd like to understand also the:
1. Risks involve in using the seeded "Setup Business Group"
2. Why is the seeded BG allowed to be modified if it is highly recommended to create a new one? Is it bec. it can be used only if the business group will be using the default currency of the seeded BG (USD)?
