Auto Reconciliation Oddness

Changed a profile to auto-reconcile if an account has a zero balance, then copied it to the open period.  It appears to of copied but it didn't close the reconciliation.  The reconciliation is with the reviewer, wondering if that is the case.  Logged in as the admin and unable to manually close the recon.  Is there a way to change a recon to auto-reconcile if it with a reviewer?
