Send emails with Microsoft Exchange

We have the releasse 8.12, and we used to send emails with the Business Function EmailMergeLetter B0500725, we had POP3, but now we changed to Microsoft Exchange our emails, with this function the emails do not send. What can I do?, is there another function to send emails?
