Bifurcation between rebuildables and normal Asset numbers

Hi,

In our organisation machines are in form of assemblies. Each machine has several components and each such component has several sub components. So which of these components will be classified as Asset Numbers and which ones as Rebuildables? We have decided to make the machine as a parent asset and its components as child assets or Rebuildables. But as per the functionality of oracle eam, the Rebuildables cannot be parent of any other asset or rebuildable. So what should be our criteria for defining Rebuildables?
