With R12, is it possible to include fields from external system in check printing?

Hi,

With 11i , you can use your own program to do check printing. We have a custom program to retrieve information from a non-Oracle system and include those fields in check printing. Now we are upgrading to R12. For what I understand, R12 uses a standard program to generate payment file and payment format can vary based on the XML template defined. Is it possible to still include non-Oracle fields when print checks?
