Java 7 u25 causing errors in Forms 11.1.1.6

Hello,

Before I begin, I will state that we are aware that Java 7 update 2 is the current supported JRE with our Forms/WebLogic install.  However our agency is enforcing a strict policy with keeping our Java versions at the most current release.

Here are our versions:

WebLogic server 10.3.6 (64 bit)

FMW Forms/Reports 11.1.1.6

On Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.4 (Santiago) 64-bit

Windows 7 64-bit client with IE9/Firefox/Chrome

Apple client iOS 10.8 with Safari browser

Java SE 7 update 25 JRE (32/64 bit) upgraded from Java SE 7 update 21 JRE (32/64 bit)

We have been using Java SE 7 update 21 since its release without many issues.  Last week several of our users, when given the browser popup to update to the newest Java 7, took the option and did it.  Following their upgrade to Java 7 update 25, they received Java errors.  The main error (on Windows 7 clients) seems to be the applet on screen stating “Error. Click for details” and when you click it you get a popup with Application Error “NoClassDefFoundError com/Jacob/com/ComFailException” with Details-Ignore-Reload button options.  Pressing Reload will usually get the application to run, but for some it won’t.

Howdy, Stranger!
