How do I referring an xml file in the EBS UNIX server in my RTF file?

I created an xml file calls chargecardexpdt.xml with two variables cc_num and cc_expdt.  This xml file is store in an UNIX server under directory /tmp file name chargecardexpdt.xml.  I want to add the xml file information to my RTF template so I can display the cc_num and cc_expdt on the PDF output.  We don't have the client version of BI.  So, I am using Microsoft Words Add-in to modify the RTF template file.  When I test from my desktop, I was able to display the field value cc_num and cc_expdt with this syntax:
