What is meant by Display Disposition Messages at Purchasing Options ??

Hi ALL,

I want to know the Basic / Pupose of having this check (Y/N) at Purchasing Options of PO ??

While defining the Item do we give any Disposition Message that come when we call the same item on PO / Requisition ??

Kindly Suggest me the basics please
