Option to add operation details by technicians/crew

Hi,

Is it possible that the technicians (through mainenance user workbench or other ways) add their work details/comments into the operations or report their work instead of they just work on the assgined operations. In most of our current cases, the actual work is not known until it is looked into, the mechanics do the task and then have to report the issue.

Kindly advice if there is an option where the technicans/mechanics can input their operations and then charge time and complete the operation. Thanks!
