Query on Redo Log Group

Issue of "log file switch (checkpoint incomplete)" was faced in one of production database servers. DBA has recommended to increase the Redo Log Groups from current 3 (1 GB each) to 5 (1 GB each). The LOG BUFFER size is currently 14 MB, which will remain the same. Database Version used is 10G R2.

What is the impact on ASAP 7.0.0 performance?
