mgmt_ha_dg_target_summary table

Table mgmt_ha_dg_target_summary which has been introduced in 10205 OMS, seems to show the db_role of the database instances. My customer is using this data in their custom scripts. But then we can see that table is not able to reflect the correct role of the database instances after switchover/failover atleast for 30-40 mins. Looking for any potential reason as why this can happen and anyway to force it to happen quickly. Moreover, is there any other table in OMS repository whcih can give me the role information of the database instances?
