Returning Item

Can anyone confirm if this is standard functionality:

A PO with quantity 100 is created.

-- Received 50 items into sub inventory A.

-- Moved 25 items to subinventory B through sub inventory transfer.

-- Try to Return the Items for the PO from sub inventory B.

Is that we can return the items from subinventory into which we received.
