Steps to be taken with "IN PROCESS" PO and Requisition workflows before upgrade.

 Hi,
I want to know if the PO's and Requisition are in "IN PROCESS" state what are the relevant steps needs to be taken before upgrading to R12.1.3. For now we are changing the Status to "INCOMPLETE" and setting the wf_item_key and wf_item_type to NULL is this correct ? if not please advice with the correct steps.
