Reg: YUM update

Folks,

Can you pls help on this

[root@xxx yum.repos.d]# wget http://public-yum.oracle.com/public-yum-el5.repo

wget: unable to resolve host address âpublic-yum.oracle.comâ

I am not form sysadmin team and am from DBA.

[root@ebsdb1 ~]# ping google.com
ping: unknown host google.com

Below points may help you :

1. I can able to open google in  browser after seting up proxy details and pasword given

2. i cant ping google.com in terminal
