TDE wallet password and master key

We have some production databases using TDE. When we copy these databases to test environments we normally depersonalise and decrypt the data in a staging area as we don’t want the wallet available out of our secure production area. We’d like to save time with this process and wondered if changing the wallet password and master key would be enough to ensure that the wallet could never be used to access production data again?
