Security Access/Profile

It is said that you can assign operating units to a security profile and then assign the security profile  to responsibilities or users. If multiple operating units are assigned to the security profile, then a user can access data for multiple operating units from a single responsibilityCan you tell me the exact security profile name or where can I see the  set up?. I want to add more operating units  to grant user access invoice entry to more than one responsibility.
