MRP Parallel Processing - how to shorten MRP run times.

A customer is looking for any real world examples of how running MRP in Parallel mode has improved the processing time. How long did MRP take single treaded vs. in parallel and over what volume of item and branch plant combination? Is there a process to determine optimum number of processers to run on? Are there recomendations on how to structure the data selection, and data maintenance that have resulted in significant run time reductions? The customer is running MRP over a few manufacturing branches and more than 100 distribution ranch plants world wide in the XE release.
