FRM-40212 - Invalid Value for Field - Cost_Group_name Error

Hello Gurus,

we just migrated to the newest Oracle Release R12 and we now get this error message that we were not getting before in 11i when doing the Cycle count entries.

I found this metalink Note ID 1083784.1

Even if I applied the fix provided in this note, is there someone who could explain why it was working well in 11i, and why we need to make this changes now?

What is the impact of changing the cost_group_type = from Project to Inventory?

Will i be impacting any other modules?
