Safety Stock

Hi,

we have the following requirement from our client:

Min-Max planning should consider the safety stock for order quantity calculations.

We need some clarifications in the following points:

1. What is Item Safety Stock?

2. Only Re-Order point planning consider the safety stock?

3. I have assigned safety stock as 30 in item safety stock window and my on-hand quantity is 30. system is allowing me to do transactions (misc isue) for that item.

Can we restrict any transactions if my on-hand is equal or below the safety stock?
