Pallet and carton

I'd like to store (a) number of units in a carton, (2) number of cartons per layer on the pallet, and (3) number of layers on a pallet in Oracle WMS module so that all this information are available to our shipping department when they ship items to our customers.  I wonder if anyone can give me some idea how this can be accomplished.  I also would like to have the information verified (i.e. it can not be changed randomly).  Thank you very much for your input.
