changing db_file_name_convert and log_file_name_convert

Currently the standby database has a different mount point structure than the primary.  We have the opportunity to make them the same.  From what I've read I'd need to shutdown the primary to make this change as well as the standby; is there any other option?

Does anyone have a check list for this change?
