Centralized Server Install for Golden Gate Best Practices

There are multiple ways to setup Golden Gate and I would like to get feedback on:

Issue:  I do not want to install Golden Gate on every server where hundreds are involved and prefer to have a centralized server install that uses agents on remote servers that keep replication processes in synch.

Question:

If I install Golden Gate on a RAC Lunix server that will in turn provide replication driven processes will golden gate be able to read remote database redo logs without issues. I would like to see some kind of true dipiction on how this is being done following best practices.
