Increase PO Description Field to more than 500 characters

HI

Has anyone increased PO Line Description field to more than 500 characters? (po_lines_all.item_description)

We are on EBS 12.1.1 and have 240 characters are not enough.

Any comments or thoughts will be greatly appriciated.
