Reams concept and change in R12

Hi,I would like to ask few questions on Realms. Since Realms concept is no more in R12 - need some information on this:
1. what will be the effect on Realms defined in 11i after upgrading to R12.
2. Current business process in 11i is adding categories to Realms, how can this be achieved in R12 through smart forms and content zones?
