not able to remove a disk on T5220

Hi,

We are having  an issue while trying to replace a failing  local disk in a T5220 Server. This disk is a part of a mirrored zpool and prod applications are installed on this zpool. 

The server has multipathing enabled. Looks like when we try to offline the disk, multipathing driver is bringing it back online.

Is there a way we can turn off multipathing for a single disk.
