Lot entry using WMS handheld screen not per Industry standard ?
We are trying to implement Lot control in our warehouses. The current business process is
- Recieve products from our vendor, which has Lot information and Expiry date associated with it
- Recieve & Putaway using WMS handheld devices
Unfortunately the seeded WMS handheld screen does not allow us to enter a new Lot# and Expiry date. It would only let us browse and select an already created Lot# and that lot's associated expiry date. In other words, WMS handheld screen would not let us create a new Lot# and an expiry during receipt but the R12 Lot control Forms screen does.
Isn't this a shortcoming ? If you agree, how can we make a request to Oracle to make changes to this in the subsequent releases ?
