How to run 'Postmerge Utilities' during the IRM process for 8.1.1.10

Hi All,
We finally got through the Merge step of the IRM process, reviewed the logs, and assessed the object conflicts.  Now on to running PostMerge Utilities. 
Trouble is, I cannot find a reference on how to actually execute this step.  Though the 'Deleting Unnecessary Repositories' step, mentions unpacking the PostMerge.zip and running the the postmerge.bat file.  This process apparently exports the New Cust repository, truncates all tables and reimports it back in.  Is that it?  That's a little silly. If so, I'm tempted to simply rename the 'New Customer Repository' to 'Siebel Repository' and call it done.
