VPLU as child item?

Hello,VPLU's seem to be working fine on the SIM version I am using (13.2.5)....

However, I was just trying to setup some variety of items and noticed that when I created VPLU as a child item the lookup would not work when scanning the full barcode (showing invalid item message)....

Is this normal or expected behavior? Because if I enter the VPLU itself without the rest of the barcode, SIM behaves as normal and roles up to the parent ORIN....

example:

1) setup regular item (ORIN) in RMS [ranging and supplier info] with KG as SUOM

2) setup a child item (VPLU) for the item in step 1)
