Recover from a hot backup are archive logs needed
Problem: mount point destroyed.
hot back up from February, with redo log files from after the end backup issued, but no archive logs, and the backup took 9 hours.
Based upon the activity of the database there must have been 7 to 10 archives each 500MB and all generated during the time the hot backup was running.
Question: can the database be restored using just the redo logs. It is OK to loose data, just not the entire DB.
