sysman.mgmt_ecm_hw.system_serial_number is null for POWERPC

We have have over 200 host in OEM 12.1.0.2.

The operating systems range from Linux, Sun, and IBM-AIX, PowerPC

We were looking to do some rollup based on the SYSTEM_SERAIL_NUMBER but it is NULL for PowerPC. Is there a way to populate this value at collection time? All of my searches/reading yield no help.
