Patch-ID# 145333-23 SC 3.3 framework patch released, known problem with xntp

Hi All,

I just wanted to let you know that latest cluster framework patch is available for Sparc  Patch-ID# 145333-23
and x86 145334-23. They both have an issue that is described in the README section under NOTE 8.
I guess it is also good to know that there is a change regarding xntp.

NOTE 8: The fix for bug 15678195 (xntpd.cluster does not work)
         removed xntp files.  ntpd will replace xntpd for NTP on
         Solaris Cluster.  To enable ntpd, run the following
         command after patch installation:

         /usr/cluster/lib/sc/sc_update_ntp initialize

         The sc_update_ntp script will create the proper:

         /etc/inet/ntp.conf

         files and enable the ntp SMF service on boot.
