.RMN files : What Are they and how to I use them ?

 Windows 2008 Server, Oracle 11gEE
A customer sent me a copy of their database and they were file_name_1.tar.gz ... file_name_4.tar.gz. After unpacking the gz and then the tar, I got a directory of thousands of .RMN files. 
What do I do with these and how do I restore this DB to a local server ?
