Oracle Backup made with the utility EXP is corrupted

Problem Description

Oracle Backup made with the utility EXP is corrupted. When I try to recover with the utility IMP get the following message:

Connected to: Oracle Database 11g Release 11.2.0.2.0 - 64bit Production

IMP-00037: Character set marker unknown
IMP-00000: Import terminated unsuccessfully
