What is the meaning of the button found at the top right of the User Detail: "Reset DMS PIN"?

May I know the meaning of this button labelled with "Reset DMS PIN" found at the top of the User Detail screen?

Navigation: Admin > Company Administration > User Management and Access Control > click on the name that you want to see. What shows next is that user's profile with and the title is the button "Reset DMS PIN." What is that button for?
