issuing srvctl start nodeapps -n <hostname> gives JVMXM008

Dear All, i need your urgent assistance. i've installed oracle 10g R2  (10.2.0.4.0) on AIX 6.1 TL8. However issuing the srvctl command  like  "srvctl stop nodeapps -n) gives  the error below;
JVMXM008: Error occured while initialising System ClassException in thread “main” Could not create the Java virtual machine
