Essbase v11 supported versions of MS Office/Excel

We are using Essbase v11.1.2.1.  we are using the classic Excel addin and are planning to move to SmartView,   Is there documentation on what versions of Office/Excel are or planned to be compatible with the v11 classic Excel addin and SmartView?   We tried installing the addin with Excel 2013 but it does not appear to be compatible.   Other posts seem to indicate the same.
