Asset Master Category Codes

Hi,

I have a query regarding the Asset Master Cat Codes

There are different cat code fields available in the asset master application. My understanding is that these cat codes work similarly.Need your help in calrifying my doubt.

1. Does the cat codes 12|21 - 12|23 works similar to 12|F0 - F9 (Is there any system(AR,AP,Equipment Billing,Service management etc) that uses only UDC's ranging from 12|F0-F9 and not 12|21-12|23 ? )

2. Is there any difference between these UDC's apart from the field length?

This question might look very basic, Just wanted to confirm whether there is any special significance to any cat codes listed here.
