Passing parameters from BI Publisher to a BI Analysis source

In a BI Publisher Report it is unable to pass a parameter from BI Publisher to a BI Analysis source.

Following the next steps:

1. Open BI Publisher at host:9704/xmlpserver
2. Go to New -> Data Model
3. Select BI Analysis as a source
4. Tried to pass a parameter from the BI Publisher to the BI Analysis
5. The BI Analysis is unable to get the value of the BI Publisher Parameter

Is it Possible to Pass parameters from BI Publisher to BI Analysis Source? If yes, could you please guide me on how to do it!
