Highlighted Task not visible in Smart View

A task is not visible in Smart View if highlighted when you first go into a Task List or if you click any where in Excel that makes the Smart List box to loose focus as it is highlighting in white over a white font(e.g. Hightlight this -> HELP!!!). Is there any way to change this behavior?
