Can Journal Reversal and Journal Posting Be Done in One Step? (Doc ID 236702.1)

Would someone know if there has been and enhancement, or a request for an enhancement to have Journal Reversal and respective secondary ledger posting consolidated into to a one step process? Recurring journal entries allow such an action?

Doc id 236702.1 ( back in 2011) states:  

These operations must be done in two steps with the following order

1.- Reverse the Journal Entry

2.- Post the Reversed Journal
