Solution required for data migration of Asset categories in R12

Hi, we have around 10000 asset categories that are required to be migrated in PRD as a historical data migration. One option is to use Data loader for the same. But it is very time consuming excercise. We need better. faster option for data migration of these asset categories, Please guide
