Inbound EDI ASN - use of R47031

Hi

Wanted to know from the community members regarding use of UBE R47031. This is used for processing inbound ASNs. My specific question is the pros and cons of using R47031 with R47071 to process the receipts since the same can be achived with populating the F47071/F47072 and running R47071 would achieve the same results.
