Scheduling minimum order quantity signals over time.

Hello,

Our SC manager wants EBS to automatically schedule an order signaled by a minimum order quantity setting over time.  For example, let's say that there is an item with a UOM of Each and the MOQ is set to 5000.  Instead of buying all 5000 at once, they want to schedule 10 shipments of 500 throughout the period of a year.

Is there a way to designate an automatic order schedule for the item, or at least to send notify the planner/buyer that the order should have multiple shipments?

They still want to have the single order so that a discount can be realized with the supplier.
