Converting ldapclient S10 package to S11 package.

I am working on a site that is predominantly Solaris 10 but we have convinced to move to Solaris 11. The snag we have hit is configuring S11 as an LDAP

client, as they have lost the clear text of the bindPasswd. They have the encrypted one from /var/ldap.

The parameters are obtained form /var/ldap/ldap_client_cred and ldap_client_file.

The S10 servers are jumpstarted and a package added that places these two files in /var/ldap, then "svcadm enable /network/ldapclient:default"

Can we convert the S10 package to a S11 one and do the same?

Alternatively, can we use a proxy as the proxyPasswd is known?

Howdy, Stranger!
