Looking for Information on the init.ora parameters for 11.1G running on Linux

We are setting up databases on New Linux servers running 11.1G Oracle.Our configs for the init.ora file are for old Sun Solaris servers and probably not optimized for 11.1G and Linux
I have looked for but found nothing significant in the knowledge base about the init.ora files outside of default parameters.
I'm looking for more suggested settings for 7.4 and 8.2 P6 installations.  

Please help me find some knowledge or white papers that will help us optimize our environment.
