TEMP tablespace not reusable from Oracle DB
Hello,
We have an Oracle 10g R2 Standard Edition database (10.2.0.4) and JD Edwards (8.98.4 tools release, 9 application release ) is using the database. The database is installed on AIX 6.1
We have a huge problem with the TEMP table tablespace. It includes a datafile 30GB and within one or maximum two weeks its getting full. Our only solution is to restart the database so the temp datafile will get empty.
The TEMP tablespace is marked as TEMPORARY and not permanent.
According to the Oracle guidelines the temporary datafile should be reused by the database.
Is there any suggestion?
Thanks in advance,
Nikos
