setting delay for dataguard standby database

I am new to dataguard, and need to set a time delay for applying archives to our physical standby database.  Currently there is no delay.

We are going to be bouncing the primary database so I am setting the log_archive_dest_2  to include delay=240.   Do I need to make changes on the standby database?  Any information would be appreciated

This is an 11.2.0.1 database.
