transaction lock on /var/lib/rpm/__db.000

 transaction lock on /var/lib/rpm/__db.000 while executing ./jdk-6u51-linux-x64-rpm.bin

tried:
rm -rf /var/lib/rpm__db.00*


# to rebuild the rpm library
rpm --rebuilddb

still getting the transaction lock ???
 bin file is owned by oracle, logged is as oracle,

[oracle@BANWEBLOGIC1 p9553040_java_update_51]$ ./jdk-6u51-linux-x64-rpm.bin
