Why does the email feature work for requested concurrent request reports but does not work for SCHED

I am able to have a report emailed to a recipient whenever a report is requested on an "as needed" or "as desired" basis.  However, I have certain reports scheduled to run and the email feature does not work for scheduled concurrent requests.

Any idea as to what is needed for the email feature to work for SCHEDULED reports?
